Seth Meyers on Monday accused Democrats of failing to sufficiently combat the “shock and awe” tactics being deployed by President Donald Trump’s weeks-old second administration.
Meyers listed just some of the controversial moves made by the Trump White House so far — from firing inspector generals to forcing out top FBI officials.

Then the “Late Night” host asked: “I thought you were just going to lower the price of eggs! What is all this other shit? It’s like hiring a handyman to fix your toilet and when you come back, he’s pulling out the fixtures, rerouting the pipes, and replacing your shower with a Jacuzzi that also doesn’t work.”
Some Democrats are urging people to “not freak out about everything that Trump does,” noted Meyers. Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) this week said how his party will tackle Trump: “We’re not going to swing at every pitch. We’re going to swing at the ones that matter for the American people.”
Meyers commented on that line: “Get your bat off your fucking shoulder. Democrats should be teeing off on this guy.”

});
“Right?” he asked, drawing applause from his studio audience.
